How Cambridge Simplified a Sprawling Web Estate

This session will cover Zoocha and Pantheon’s joint work with the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine (SoCM). After 180 wordpress sites were taken offline, Zoocha, Pantheon, and SoCM worked in collaboration to build the estate back better, optimising for scalability, flexibility, and security.

This session will focus on three key areas:

  • How the clinical school reimagined its digital presence: From cyber incident to opportunity for radical improvement
  • How Cambridge built better with modern WebOps: Why the team chose Drupal and Pantheon, and how it unlocked an architecture ready for growth
  • Key lessons to take forward in a modern web strategy: Using open source software and cloud infrastructure to build secure and scalable applications
